A blend of Negroamaro (80%) and Malvasa Nera from Lecce with partial fermentation in the skins. The color is an antique pink, one which Veronelli would have called ‘frog blood’, while the wrapping aroma has blood orange and currant with some spice in the background. The flavor is fresh, agile but with body and the finish has excellent persistence.
