The Greco family is an emerging reality in Calabria where they grow indigenous varieties of grapes on the Ionian side of the region using organic methods. This wine is made from white Greco grapes, an ancient variety that is probably of Greek origin but has been growing in Italy for thousands of years. The grape has a high acidity and is identical to the Asprino Campano whose name (meaning tart) immediately reflects this characteristic.
Filù is truly a special wine, so Mediterranean both in its almost golden color and warm bouquet of aromatic herbs, especially basil, followed by hay and pineapple. It is also warm in the mouth, fat, soft and full-bodied but easy to drink. A nice personality.
