Fattoria del Cerro Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2010

This winery has seen a change in management and winemaking methods but it has maintained top quality level of the wines. This Nobile 2010 is very well-made. Its classic ruby color is concentrated, the aroma is complex with notes of citron and a touch of graphite, followed by a note of red cherry and a sweet spiciness between vanilla and sandalwood, garnished with a touch of cinnamon. The mouthfeel is substantial with polished tannins that are amalgamated with the acidity thanks to a nice taste sensation. The finish is persistent with an aftertaste of notes that are less fruity.
