A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Cabernet Franc that matures in barriques for 18 months. The wine has a dark, garnet color and a wrapping bouquet of fruit, blueberry and blackberry, vanilla and kirsch. The mouthfeel is full-bodied and muscular with sweet and saline sensations and a long aftertaste of ripe fruit.
Together with the celebrated and impeccable Montiano, this producer represents the old (and consolidated) guard of the wines of the last century. Their muscular, fruity and full-bodied wines lift the level of Umbrian wines above all thanks to an enologist like Riccardo Cotarella, who is the standard bearer of wines made in the area of Orvieto as well as the area itself.
