A blend of 47% Pinot Noir, 27% Chardonnay and 26% Pinot Meunier selected from six extraordinary vintages of old vins de reserve: 1988, 1996, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010. The wine was bottled in 2011 after sitting on the lees in the cellar for up to 30 years and at dégorgement received an Extra Brut dosage of 3g/l. The wine has a brilliant color with golden reflections and an intense bouquet with notes of tangerine, white peach and apricot wrapped in floral nuances of elder and linden, almond and apple pastry dough, juicy Sorrento lemon and vanilla. The mouthfeel is very fine, exalted by a subtle effervescence with a lower pressure than usual, 4.5 atmosphere pressures like the ancient Crémant sparkling wines. There are notes of dried fruit and tropical fruit, a spicy hint in the flavor and then a long, fresh sensation of candied ginger with a rhythmic sapidity and great balance.
