Es 2004

Gianfranco Fino is a great friend. We became friends after I did a hatchet job on this same wine when it its first vintage came out. I have to admit that the 2005 is noticeably better. But let's get back to the 2004: its bouquet already expresses quite significant strength and warmth, even to the taste its strength is incredible. What I don't like about this wine is its overall balance and the fact that it's not drinkable. You take a sip and there is no desire to take a second one. Perhaps it's the wood, but that's not the biggest problem. It's better now than it was, while the way it holds up in time is enviable, which is not always the case with Primitivo.
