Made off the skins from Gamay grapes and matured in enameled steel. Secondary fermentation took place in the bottle and the wine sat on the lees for 20 months before it was disgorged in December 2016 without the addition of any sugar dosage.
The wine has a straw-yellow color with bright copper reflections and an extremely fragrant and slightly metallic bouquet with notes of flour, field mushrooms, walnut husk, flower stems and a touch of red fruit. The Loire comes out in the mouthfeel with an acidity that is electric and super-incisive at the same time, very vertical (perhaps too much so) and it becomes metallic and salty at the center of the mouth with a long aftertaste of walnut husk and hazelnut ice cream. Unfortunately, the effervescence is just above sufficient and tends to peter out. A very pure sparkling wine that may even improve with age given its exceptional vitality. Imported by Meteri.
