From a vineyard only 0.8ha in size with the soil having chalk on the surface and granite below. The winemaking method is essential: no pumps for transferring the wine, no filtering, open-air fermentation and then 17 months in barriques. The result is the equivalent to getting a square peg through a round hole: depth obtained by the acidity and sensations of graphite, damp gravel and cinchona which are the imprint of Alsace, together with an airy and immediate aroma that recalls small, sweet red fruits and wisteria.
