An Inzolia varietal wine that ages on the lees in stainless steel for several month. This is a classic wine from Barbera with the grapes coming from an old vineyard behind the winery’s houses, hence the name. The wine has a bright yellow color and a warm but not sweet aroma with notes of yellow peach and Mediterranean herbs that make it lively. It has a classic flavor with a pronounced attack, a thick texture and a slightly salty feel while the acidity from a hot year is only just sufficient. The finish is flavorful and intense which nicely corresponds to the aroma on top of a brackish Mediterranean note.
