    Even though the color remains almost unchanged, this was the first vintage that was really of age to drink. The aroma is compact and the mouthfeel quite lively with an irresistible salinity and refreshing tannins. The bouquet is of currant, Tuscan cigar, violet and scent form your grandmother’s drawer and yet the aromas need breathing to emerge. The flavor is fruity and dynamic like all the best red wines from the best vintages. This vintage is extremely austere, almost ‘monastic’, and the salinity is compact. A wine that is more vivacious than dynamic.
