A blend of 53% Pinot Blanc (a rarity in Champagne) and 47% Pinot Noir. The name refers to the fact that the grapes were from the 2011 harvest but the wine was bottled in 2012. The wine fermented in stainless steel and underwent malolactic fermentation and after 48 months on the lees was disgorged with a dosage of 3r/l.
The bouquet is very interesting with floral notes of chamomile and elder, linden flower and orange blossom honey that unite purity and softness and ushers in a mouthfeel with flavors of yellow plum, ripe pear and almond cookies and while the texture is distinct, there are wrapping nuances accompanied by an acidic tension that is as measured as it is efficient.
