Made exclusively with Montepulciano grapes and matured in used barriques. The lucid color is an opaque purple with an incredible chromatic intensity. The aroma is extremely fruity, with distinct notes of black cherry, together with some scents of violet and licorice. The attack of the mouthfeel is a tad semi-sweet due to a generous year and indigenous yeasts that did not make the grapes drying. The concentration is impressive with multilayered tannins and a flavor that recalls cacao and a loose finish of spice. The sensation of frankness from the impeccable way it was made is truly excellent. Drink this at a lower than usual temperature. While thoroughly enjoyable now, the wine will not reach its peak for at least another five years.
