Terre del Gufo is a small yet valid Calabrian winery run by the Muzzillo family that uses only indigenous grapes, above all Magliocco Dolce. This wine is made with only Magliocco Dolce that was fermented off the skins. It ferments in part in steel vats and in part in used oak barrels and ages on the lees for six months.
The color is a bright coral while the aroma is a bit heady with distinct scents of rose, yellow peach, fresh raspberry, raspberry candy and a hint of vanilla sugar. The mouthfeel is rich-textured with a minerality, pungency and freshness that linger long in the mouth. A very pleasing and versatile wine.
