Considered a ‘small’ vintage, this has a rather intense and bright garnet color and aromas that are mostly fruity, with notes of currant, wild strawberry and raspberry up front and some toasted accents in the background. The mouthfeel is full, quite complex and has a light tannic accent nicely upheld by a glycemic softness. This makes it like velvet on a persistence that was longer than I would have expected. All things considered, it is ready to drink now.
