The product of a much-debated harvest which in the end resulted in some very interesting wines. The color is a very intense and bright garnet and the bouquet is complex, with a very broad and assorted aromatic profile. While notes of wild strawberry and cassis tend to dominate, right behind them are scents that are already mineral, smoky and slightly toasted and slowly lead the way towards elegant tarry tones. The flavor has unusual grit and even some residual edginess which recall its youth. The tannins are barely perceivable, reinforced by a strong acidity that still has not been completely tamed by the abundant sugar component. The finish is long and very consistent.
