Cepparello 2001

Made from only Sangiovese grapes. This is one of the most loved reds by fans varietal Sangiovese wines. Vintage 2001 was particularly and incredibly essential, the result of its grapes coming from the upper part of the Barberino Val d’Elsa district, a cold area that produced truly great wines in that year. It had quite a dense and dark ruby color and the typical aromas of raspberry and black cherry on a background of violets. The mouthfeel was very elegant, incredibly drinkable, with just a hint of tannins and a nice acidity holding up a balanced and elegant body. The finish was long and subtle.
