Made from Aglianico grapes with a generous amount of Piedirosso that has a very intense, full and chromatically dense red color with some epic purple nuances. The bouquet is also epic with its strong yet lithe grapey notes which, 18 years after it was made, indicate it still has a long life ahead of it. While not that intense, the aromas are extremely variegated with scents of blackberry and blueberry jam with those of humus completing a fascinating circle of underbrush. The energetic mouthfeel is taut, rich and never tame.
