Made from Nebbiolo grapes. What can I say? I was absolutely furious when the first bottle was corked, and so delighted after my first sniff of the second one. It has a bright red colour that is anything but compact and opaque: I would say that it is glowing and classically “Nebbiolo”. On the nose, one finds the strong watermelon note that is archetypal of the producer, but of unusual intensity. There is a lot more to it, though, with a veritable rose-garden to cheer one’s nostrils and a palate that is sumptuously libidinous.
