Cantina Cooperative di Soave is a wonderful reality with 2,200 members that began in Soave, expanded to Valpolicella and in 2008 acquired a winery in the DOC Lessini Durello appellation to bringing to 6,000 the number hectares it owns. In Montecchio di Crosara, on the Verona side of the appellation, they have begun quality production also using cutting-edge technology. Made from only Durella grapes and matured on the lees for 36 months, this has an aroma with citrus notes of lime and tangerine on a background of malt and crunchy apricot. The fresh mouthfeel has a crispy acidity with a pleasing sweetness of golden delicious apple and linden honey.
