Made from only Lambrusco Grasparossa grapes with the base wine macerating for around a week and secondary fermentation done using the long Charmat Method. The wine has a dense, eggplant-red color and a wonderful purple effervescence while the very grapey aroma is dominated by a fruity blueberry note. The mouthfeel is rich and fruity with a tannic finish that is almost one of a still wine with a progression generated by an effervescence that is not thick but rightfully crisp. The fruity aftertaste has a hint of bark and while the wine is not that spicy it still has distinct character. This is a wine capable of being impeccably executive while maintaining its spontaneity without digressing into phenolic notes.
