Calanchi Chardonnay 2011

Fermented in steel as opposed to wood like its brother Falesia, the wine has fresh scents that recall this particular volcanic land. It has a golden color while the bouquet has a mineral accent of flint and a lovely component of tropical fruit, above all pineapple but also papaya, melon and citrus, while in the background are nuances of mint and sage and a delicate whiff of white pepper. The mouthfeel is dynamic an vertical, fresh and savory, sharp and mineral.
