This new label from the lands surrounding the winery is very convincing and the zone of Pelagrilli has never given such complexity. Thus hats off to Giancarlo Pacenti, a true estate art director. His almost obsessive control of every detail will be eased by the completion of the new, very beautiful and above all functional winery. Everything here is 'top shelf' as a dear friend from Abruzzo used to say. With this wine Giancarlo achieves an important level, the result of years of apprenticeship and great achievements. The use of wood barrels is truly perfect and the tannins are delicate and elegant, while a slight oxidation allows for the bouquet profile to be best defined. White cherry, dark fleshy flowers, a nice spiciness which is slightly balsamic but never overpowering and a clear and evident leather. The taste is very elegant and upheld by a fine acidity while the tannins are tamed but still evident. The finish is very elegant and persistent which indicates how the winery is striving towards even higher results. The progression is important, dense and the aftertaste very long yet not muscular.
