This comes from the Milo area and the vineyards are 700m above sea level. The wine is still very young and initially a bit closed, perhaps due to undergoing a brief croymaceration. The aroma reveals a lovely, brackish minerality, aromatic herbs and a much suffused mentholated note. The fruit, that was less intense in the nose, is stronger in the mouth together adding to a bold pungency. The soil is lava, loose, chalky and acidic.
