Balter Riserva 2009 (Dosaggio zero)

A family estate in Rovereto that has a single, 10-hectare vineyard looking over Vallagarina. They produce very precise sparkling wines that are distinguished by a fine texture, like this reserve which is a blend of 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir that has been fermented in part in steel, in part in small oak barrels and which ages on the lees for 40 months. It has a fine aroma with delicate scents of lemon blossom, honey and apple juice, while the mouthfeel is quite energetic thanks to a bold effervescence and a saline finish.
