Made from Sagrantino and matured for 24 months in barriques. A bold, ruby color and deep and a pronounced aroma of full and juicy red fruit and spice notes of turmeric, nutmeg and cloves. The mouthfeel has great structure with thick and robust tannins and an excellent acidity. The finish is very long with sensations of ripe fruit and spice.
A paradigm of Sagrantino, the Caprai winery has played a fundamental role in enhancing the value of this varietal. This thanks to an entrepreneur like Marco Caprai who enriched this zone and, through constant research, achieved exceptional results making the area of Montefalco known worldwide.
