A blend of Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella that ages in barriques and medium-sized barrels. The wine has a nicely intact and bold ruby color and an intense aroma that becomes clear and clean after a little breathing. The austere bouquet has classic scents of red fruit like Marasca cherry and a bit of kirsch along with hints of blond spice and touches of laurel and blackberry. The mouthfeel has a medium texture and is not excessively alcoholic. The tannins are young yet contained and well-integrated which allow the mouthfeel to be elegant and progressive and not muscular. The fruit and laurel return in the aftertaste.
