Alto Adige Meranese Hügel 2011

This Schiava from Count Franz Pfeil is simply wonderful. An organic wine-maker since 1985, the count has always correctly defended his concept of grape-growing and wine-making. His wines are typical and natural and do not need to follow any fad but only the need to express the nature of the vine and the terroir. This wine is a perfect example of this. The bouquet is spicy and delicate as only Meranesi wines can be. The taste is fragrant, juicy, soft and with a progression that almost makes it a killer DR0P. Try it to believe it.
