The best quality/price wines 2023

To make this final ranking of the 10 wines with the best value for money, that is, wines to buy to drink well at very affordable prices, we selected those that had a score of 92/100 or higher and cost within 8 euros.
Our champion proves to be the Kalterersee Classico Superiore 2021 Cantina Caldaro (or, as a South Tyrolean would say, Kalterersee Classico Superiore 2021 Kellerei Kaltern), a South Tyrolean red wine with a long tradition that sees its vineyards surround the lake. It takes the top spot in this special ranking because of the score it received in the tasting (94/100! almost the face) and the decidedly affordable price: 8 euros. It is characterized by distinct fruit on the nose and an easy-drinking sip.
The ranking this year sees few regions involved; in addition to Alto Adige victorious, we have Marche, Puglia and Umbria that manage to place two wines and then Abruzzo, Trentino and Lazio to complete the magnificent 10.
