Enoteca La Torre sul roof della Rinascente di piazza Fiume a Roma

At Rome's Rinascente in Piazza Fiume, Enoteca La Torre offers a new gastronomic format that can vary throughout the day. From breakfast to evening cocktails, a path of taste and attention to detail. Bar, bistro, restaurant and mixology all projected in search of quality and a unique and recognizable style.

It was 1961 and the Rinascente of Piazza Fiume in Rome opened its doors in this charming corner of the capital, nestled between the Pinciano and Salario districts, in the Porta Pia quadrant. Some 60 years later, after a renovation that restored the building to its former beauty, one of Rome's best-known places is ready to welcome its clientele with a new look but one that betrays nothing of the initial design by architects and designers Franco Albini and Franca Helg.

Work will continue over the next few months, but as of now, customers of one of Italy's best-known retail brands (an iconic name, the result of a happy intuition of Gabriele D'Annunzio) will be able to visit the "new" Rinascente in Piazza Fiume and wander around the wide spaces of this beautiful building, a harmonious synthesis of architecture and respect for the urban and historical context. And they will be able to stop on the top floor of the structure to enjoy a space entirely dedicated to gastronomic excellence, which not by chance Rinascente wanted to entrust to one of the best-known and most appreciated brands in the food&beverage sector. In fact, it will be Enoteca La Torre Group that will take care of the catering part with a project capable of changing "dress" in the course of the hours. To the team, which counts among its "creatures" Enoteca La Torre Villa Laetitia, Enoteca La Torre Prati, Enoteca La Torre La Dogana, the task of covering the entire day and the needs of a very varied clientele.

From 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., space will be given to the bistro menu with sweet and savory breakfasts, continuing with the possibility of quick but carefully curated snacks and a mixology list where national and international offerings will find space, in addition to a series of signatures designed by the group's bartenders.

The beating heart of this enclave of taste will obviously be the restaurant, for both lunch and dinner. The menu will feature chef Antonio Autiero, who has long been at the helm of Enoteca La Torre Villa Laetitia's Michelin-starred chef Domenico Stile. With a proposal designed to please a transversal clientele, with the plus made up of off-menu dishes that will follow the trend of the seasons and with the surprise of the carts, a pleasant "pampering" that will delight the palates and imagination of guests. These are real "food carts" that will rotate among the tables, one dedicated to tartare, salmon and beef, with sauces, spices and special pairings. The other, the "Circus," vaguely Fellini-esque in look and with the possibility for customers to choose from a selection of absolutely unmissable desserts.

An important role, as in all venues and events signed Enoteca La Torre, will be played by the wine list, curated as always by maitre sommelier Rudy Travagli, who in just over a year has managed to enrich the group's showcase with prestigious awards such as Best Service for the Gambero Rosso Guide 2021 and Best Wine Cellar for the Espresso Guide 2022, both of which went to Villa Laetitia.

To complete the picture, a delightful terrace overlooking one of the most striking views of this beautiful corner of Rome. The ideal place, especially in warm weather, to sip a cocktail or a glass of bubbly, accompanied by the tasty finger food offered by the kitchen.

"Collaborating with a brand such as La Rinascente is a great stimulus for us," explain Silvia Sperduti and Michele Pepponi, a couple who lead Enoteca La Torre Group with a firm hand, "We will bring our style that characterizes all our projects and venues. But, as always, we have tried to create a new mood, to place ourselves in a context that is certainly sui generis. Our challenge, with Enoteca La Torre Rinascente, is to combine in the best way a top level shopping with a gastronomic proposal rich in quality and tasty proposals suitable for all audiences."
