The color is a dark, impenetrable mahogany with coppery hues and the head is compact and hazelnut-colored. The bold aroma is a nice mix of notes of medicinal herbs, cacao, coffee, caramel, toffee, hazelnut and candied fruit, above all sultana grapes. The mouthfeel is full-bodied with a subtle carbonation and light, bitter yet never invasive sensations. The licorice aftertaste is almost sweet with nuances of candied citrus and the ever-present note of coffee in the background. The persistence is truly incredible and velvety throughout the whole degustation.

A perfect beer to drink on its own but that also pairs well with herbal cheeses or a traditional brownie.
