In the glass the beer has a clear, amber color with a medium-compact and white head. The bouquet is dominated by hops and citrus tones followed by notes of grains and toasted bread with hints of fresh herbs in the background. Overall the impact has a nice intensity that is never overwhelming. The mouthfeel is light, almost flowing, with just a hint of bitterness and a strong aftertaste of bread and citrus. Balanced and in line with what a lager should be, this may be a little too agile for European tastes. The effervescence is subtle and persistence. A beer to pair with grilled sausage and, in consideration of traditional Pennsylvanian cuisine, some Philly mashed potatoes.
