In the glass this has a golden color and an immediate and intense aroma with scents of spice, above all ginger, toasted sweet wood and tobacco along with notes of citrus and malt in a rhythmic crescendo of volume. The impact of the mouthfeel is creamy thanks to a subtle and never redundant carbonation and it then becomes dense and voluminous with a nicely balanced alcohol component. The flavor is delicately bitter and persistent with a return of fruit and wood aromas.
A brew to pair with a traditional kip en bier, chicken stewed in beer with laurel and thyme, but it also goes well with a more Italian mugnaia-style sole.
