Off to Vinitaly

A little self-promotion never does any harm. This time it is tell everyone that Doctor Wine will be at Vinitaly. We will be in pavilion 8, the one dedicated to Tuscany, in the space A11 to the right of the big bar. We will also be in the Taste Italy area, reserved for the press and international trade media, although I can get a few people inside if they really want. I will be doing interviews there in the morning with a small TV crew. Everyday 105 wines will be available for tasting, from Winefit dispensers, that I have chosen with an international public in mind. Also present will be Shedoctor, in other words our chief editor Stefania Vinciguerra, and sometimes Dario Cappelloni along with some of our other collaborators like Chiara Giovoni or Francesco Annibali, among others. This will be a chance for us to meet in person and hear your views and suggestions first-hand.

Doctor Wine keeps getting bigger. Since last year we have more than tripled our 'Like' contacts on facebook and Twiter 'Followers' (if you have not yet done so please 'click' on 'Like' and/or 'Follow', it costs nothing and will let us know we are appreciated, always good for the soul). At present we have almost 1,600 friends on Facebook, not a whole lot but real friends obtained without any tricks or euro incentives. Since my friends on my personal page number almost 4,000 and Shedoctor's more then 1,700. this means that a lot of them still have not given us their moral support. Do so if you can and if you really like DW. We are doing all we can to improve our site and have enrolled some new, young and expert collaborators like Chiara Giovoni and Antonio Parlapiano. And it's not over yet. More are on the way to talk about wine, report on tastings and people, to interact with our online community with competence, serious enjoyment and unbridled passion.
