The Masterclasses about Piedmont
It is not every day you get the opportunity to taste wines of this quality at a very reasonable cost, which includes - we remind you - a free copy of the Essential Guide to Wines of Italy 2021..
It is true that we are repeating it often, but we remind our readers that on October 3 and 4 in Milan, instead of the usual banquet tasting, we organized 18 seminars in order to strictly comply with the regulations on anti-Covid19. They will be seminars of excellent level and conducted by our main collaborators..
Personally I will lead five of them, and Riccardo Viscardi, who is the Technical Supervisor of The Essential Guide to Italian Wine 2021, will lead three. Both of them will deal with Piedmontese wines in two different moments. Riccardo will lead the seminar on Barbera and Barolo, Saturday 3 from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm in the Galilei A room of the Hotel Principe di Savoia in Piazza della Repubblica in Milan. He will include some true stars of Piedmontese winemaking, some prestigious Nizza and seven of the best Barolo tasted this year.
The one entrusted to me will be dedicated to Barolo, Roero and Barbaresco and will end with Nino Negri's Sfursat 5 Stelle, a wine from Valtellina, produced with Nebbiolo grapes as well. It will be held at the closing of our event, Sunday, October 4th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., always in the Galilei A room of the Principe di Savoia Hotel and will open the dances with Dogliani Papà Celso by Marziano Abbona, then Grignolino Monferace by Santa Caterina, some of the best wines of Roero, and some gems of Barbaresco and Barolo.
These are two exceptional seminars that I would like to mention in particular. It is not everyday to have the opportunity to taste respectively 11 and 13 wines of that magnitude at a very reasonable cost, however, which will also include a complimentary copy of our Essential Guide and the DoctorWine glass, plus the access to the open-tasting area for 1 hour where you will find a second label of all the wineries listed in the days' seminars. Below you will find the list of wines that we will present and comment. All this, as I mentioned, in accordance with the rules of prudence and common sense that we are all required to respect carefully.
