Vermentino’s fame is always higher

Whether it is Sardinian, Tuscan or Ligurian, Vermentino is living a period of great splendor, gaining fame and success, extremely appreciated by Italian consumers. We offer four of them from different areas.
Vermentino is a grape that from Iberian peninsula spread in Liguria, Corsica, Sardinia and, in more recent times, in Tuscany as well. In the last years they worked in order to produce fresh and lively wines, vinified in purity, which could be fruity and pleasing.
And we start from Sardinia. Serdiana is the most viticultural area of the region and it is home to great and historical wineries. Salvatore and Nicoletta Pala are the very young protagonists of Audarya's birth. Vineyards worked with maniacal care and a high level technical staff have allowed them to obtain since the first release on the market results that could seem surprising only to those who do not know the overwhelming passion of the two young people. The production is deliberately concentrated exclusively on the typical vines of the area.
Crossing the Tyrrhenian Sea we arrive in southern Tuscany. The Cecchi family's Maremma investment, the Val delle Rose estate, has grown in importance over the years. 105 hectares of vineyards for half a million bottles are considerable numbers. It was in 2011 the completion of the new wine cellar for vinification and aging, perfectly equipped and connected to the new area - opened in 2016 - dedicated to hospitality on which Andrea Cecchi focused a lot in order to implement the knowledge of the territory and of its wines.
We go up along the coast until we reach the province of Massa Carrara. Colli di Luni are a middle land, divided between Tuscany and Liguria. Reconstructing, at least from an enological point of view, the ancient Lunigiana, including the Cinque Terre, has always been the dream of Ivan Giuliani, who has been producing wines between Liguria and Tuscany for more than thirty years. Terenzuola winery is older, it dates back to 1930, but Ivan started the "new course" in 1993 and the results are excellent.
Few kilometers further north, after having crossed the regional border, we find Bosoni family, a perfect interpreter of this condition of duality, in a territory where the crisp gracefulness of Ligurian wines is enriched by the opulence of a certain Tuscan attitude. Cantine Lunae winery, modernly managed, shows precise and lush declinations.
