Salentos’ vocation
A small estate that has made its debut on the new Puglia winemaking scene where research is aimed at achieving elegance even in areas where, while there is no lack of alcohol or sugars, the flavor and aromas of the wines tend to be heavy. The aim of father Romaldo and, above all, his son Antongiulio is to avoid this excessive tendency. The result is Era, the estate’s top Primitivo, which attentively unites boldness with elegance.
The vineyards are all spur and cordon trained with a density of some 4,500 vines per hectare. Aside from local varietals like Negroamaro and Primitivo, they also cultivate ‘foreign’ varieties like Syrah, Cabernet and Merlot. The quality/price ration of the wines is very good.
