Monchiero Carbone, owned by Francesco Monchiero and his father Marco, winemaker of great value, is located at Canale. The vineyards of the Pelissa Barbera though are at Priocca, slightly soth-east of Canale, but still in the Roero area. It is in the Roero area that this winery is demonstrating to be one of the most important ones and we can tell from the extremely high quality of the entry line wines like this one:
