Lambrusco for everyone
Let's face it: Lambrusco is the ultimate convivial, cheerful and thoughtless wine. Once snubbed by wine lovers (too national-popular), it has been revalued and regained its place at the table. We offer three of assured quality.
We begin with the Concerto of Medici Ermete, the winery that has succeeded in creating a microcosm of quality in a reality such as that of the province of Reggio Emilia, historically devoted to large numbers and to a care of the wines produced that is more related to mass consumption than to quality. Today it is an established reality with important numbers, just as the quality of its wines is recognized throughout the world. Taking advantage of rigorous selections and technically advanced protocols, the winery manages to express wines of extreme pleasantness and good structure.
We then chose Venturini Baldini's Rubino del Cerro, a company also established in 1976 in the Reggio Emilia area, in Roncolo di Quattro Castella, but its history is centuries old, even dating back to 1670. Currently, after a recent change of ownership, it has begun a journey back to its origins, rapidly climbing the qualitative hierarchies not only at the provincial level. Located in a fabulous setting, 150 hectares of forest and vineyards, which alternate in an incredibly beautiful landscape. Today it works exclusively organically (certified) pursuing that credo of sustainable agriculture not divorced from over-the-top, state-of-the-art winery techniques.
We close with Ceci 1938's Otello Ceci Nerodilambrusco. Sandro Ceci is a volcano of ideas and far-sighted leader of the family business, assisted by a staff of relatives and friends who form a formidable team that is always looking to the future. Wizard of communication and among the ambassadors of Lambrusco well beyond national borders, he is an absolute reference of the province expressing, which does not hurt, a driving commercial force for the whole territory.
