Call it Müller Thurgau…
Martin Aurich is originally from Berlin and has not only become one of Italy’s best winemakers but is also a professor of enology at Istituto Agrario di San Michele all’Adige-Edmund Mach Foundation. His small estate, where he works with his wife Gisela, is in a strikingly beautiful location where the vineyards on the steep sides of a valley have a pitch of as much as 60%. Over the years his white wines have achieved a level of quality that few can match. Their crystalline purity are the result of the skill and hard work of a true artist.
