Amiata’s Lapillo

The Amiata winery, in the district of Doc Montecucco, has its vineyards at 400 meters on the mountain of the same name. Among the wines produced, the Lapillo, a Tuscany IGT austere and medium bodied.
Stefano and Simona Toninelli firmly believe in the potential of the volcanic area that hosts their small estate. And although the volcano that created Monte Amiata has been extinct for thousands of years, it has left its unmistakable imprint on the surrounding land. Their passion for this land came from their farmer grandparents who knew its value well. The estate sits at an altitude of 400m above sea level and the principle grape they cultivate is Sangiovese.
