Albereto, an evo oil from the Badia

The evo oil Albereto Igp Toscano is produced by Badia a Coltibuono in organic farming, from typical Chianti Classico varieties.
Badia a Coltibuono is a mythical place in Chianti Classico: founded in the 11th century by the Benedictine monks of Vallombrosa, who started the first agricultural activities here, it was purchased in 1846 by the Giuntini, ancestors of the present owners, the family Stucchi Prinetti.
Wine-growing is the main activity, but about 19 out of 800 hectares of surface are destined to olive groves with 7,200 trees. In the last harvest 652 quintals of olives were produced, equal to almost 81 hectolitres of oil. There are two Extra Virgin selections Pgi Toscano from organic farming, Campo Corto and Albereto.
