The essenze of Cilento in Tempa di Zoè
Four partners – Feudi di San Gregorio, Francesco Domini, Vincenzo D’Orta and Bruno De Conciliis – came together to create a new winemaking reality: Tempa di Zoè.
Winemaking in the region of Campania has been enriched by a new project: Tempa di Zoè. For vineyards and four partners – Feudi di San Gregorio, Francesco Domini, Vincenzo D’Orta and Bruno De Conciliis – came together to enhance the value of the area of Cilento, one with a strong vocation for winemaking..
The four vineyards, for a total of five hectares, have soils rich in marl and Cilento flysch and they are located in the town of Torchiara and include two hectares which Bruno Conciliis has used to make his red Zero since 1997. Another two hectares have been added and have been newly planted with Aglianico and Fiano.
The first Tempa di Zoè wine was produced in 215: Diciotto (18), an Aglianico totally made at the Sorbo Serpico winery. The first white will be presented in a few months and it will be a Fiano named Stella Marina.
The project is a work in progress and in the future will involve vineyards in other parts of Cilento.
The name Tempa di Zoè refers to the characteristic rolling hills (tempe) of Cilento while Zoè in Greek means the essence of life.
