Sphera from Cantine Cennarazzo, a Greco di Tufo beyond fashion

Sphera Greco di Tufo has a limited production and is a traditional and artisanal wine.

The Cennarazzo winery has been producing Greco di Tufo for over 40 years but it was only in 2013 that Sebastiano Cennarazzo, working with his children Lidia and Federico, decided to share it with wine lovers.

Cantine Cennarazzo is a small winery that uses only Greco di Tufo grapes cultivated in small parcels totaling some four hectares in the areas of Tufo, Petruro Irpino, Santa Paolina and Torrioni, the latter home to the winery inside the old family farm house.

The wine, the product of a strict selection of bunches in the vineyard, maintains a traditional and artisanal imprint that gives it its personality and identity. These characteristics are exalted by the composition of the chalky and clay soil, with veins of sulfur, which clearly enhance the wine’s bouquet and flavor.

Some 5,000 bottles of Sphera Greco di Tufo are produced a year.

Greco di Tufo grapes fermented and matured in stainless steel. The wine has a luminous, straw-yellow color with golden reflections and a bouquet of apricot, mint, forest pine, citron and orange peel. The mouthfeel is saline and fresh with an evident acidity and a note of almond, while the finish is long and persistent with a nuance of iodine.

Greco di Tufo grapes fermented and matured in stainless steel. A golden color and an aroma of apricot, saffron and Mediterranean shrub. The mouthfeel is fresh, full and saline with a bold aftertaste of citrus notes.
