Corvée, a lovely project in Val di Cembra

Just a few partners and a common goal: to join forces and vineyards to gain a better market presence.

In sleepy the Trentino region there is a winery with many aces up its sleeve and has hit the bullseye with its Pinot Nero Ágole 2016. However, they produce many other wines that are typical for the region (Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon and Lagrein) with particular attention paid to Müller Thurgau, which is the leading varietal in the Val di Cembra, where the winery has its productive center. The vineyards are very beautiful with some terraced on the valley’s hillsides, a cool and particularly suited area.

The few partners joined forces and vineyards to obtain a better market position and to be in a better economic position to invest in the winery. The technical side is in the hands of Beppe Caviola who is assisted by Trentino native Moreno Nardin. Theirs is a wining idea that we hope will be repeated elsewhere.

Trentino Müller Thurgau Viàch 2018

Made from Müller Thurgau grapes from the vineyard of the same name and matured on the lees for some eight months. The wine has a straw color with green reflections and an aroma with a note of pear which along with those jasmine and wild strawberry make it fresh. The mouthfeel is savory and progressive with a flavorful and persistent finish.

Trentino Pinot Nero Ágole 2016

Pinot Nero grapes from the vineyard of the same name and matured in barriques for 15 months. A pale yet bright ruby color with a clear and intense bouquet with notes of wild strawberry, slightly smoky summer underbrush and floral scents. The medium mouthfeel is flowing with refined tannins and a convincing elegance. The finish is flavorful and corresponds with the aroma.
