In Valpolicella, Villa Maria - Sartori's family home and offices - opens to visitors and it is immediately Casa Sartori.

Casa Vinicola Sartori becomes Casa Sartori and its headquarter, until now only family's house and partially used as offices, finally opens its doors to visitors becoming the center of visits and tastings. Sartori's family lights a spotlight on enotourism which, according to Andrea Sartori, is a great opportunity for the future of Italian viticulture

Living, visiting, tasting and "touching with one's hand" the territory is the key to the success of every appellation and Valpolicella, from this point of view, place of unexplored opportunities, must not be less. Villa Maria is located in the classic Valpolicella area in Negrar, the commune of the appellation which is the closest to the city of Verona. The first news of the Villa dates back to 1638. It became property of the Sartori family in 1924 thanks to Pietro Sartori who, with his son Regolo, the true innovator of the family, started the family history in the viticultural field. It was Regolo himself, to whom not by chance is also dedicated a wine, to mark the turning point in the production and bottling of Sartori wines.

The Sartori family today is led by Andrea, president of the winery and past president of Consorzio di Tutela Vini Valpolicella, and Luca, who nowadays manage 52 employees, 25 hectares of property, 15 hectares for rent and 80 hectares from historical vintners. Closing the circle is the management of Collis group's vineyards which amount to 6800 hectares. Sartori is present with 75% of its production in foreign markets, England, Germany and North America, with strong expansion opportunities in Russia, Scandinavian countries, Japan and Israel. Finally, there is no (or almost no) restaurant in the historic center of Verona which does not have at least one label on its menu.

The heart of Sartori winery beats, since birth, for red wine. Right from the Villa Maria's brolo come the grapes destined to the production of one of the winery's Cru, Amarone Riserva Corte Bra. The brolo of the Villa, protected by ancient walls, is immersed in the park where, according to Regolo's will in 1951, was also built a chapel dedicated to Madonna del Carmine, still consecrated and open to visitors. But Sartori is not only classic Valpolicella, when we talk about red wines we cannot avoid talking about the I Saltari line, a label from the eastern area which has a considerable number of fans. In Casa Sartori the wines of the Veronese territory are celebrated in all their forms, reserving the place of honor to Valpolicella. Among the declarations of love of the Sartori family for the Veronese territory there is also one dedicated to the city of Verona. The feeling that unites Casa Sartori to Verona is strong and deep-rooted and is nourished through works of interest to the city itself. A recent example is the "adoption" of the equestrian statue of Cangrande I della Scala, located in the Castelvecchio museum in the historic center of Verona, a symbol of the city of Verona, for whose ordinary conservative maintenance the company will be responsible from now on for 12 years.

"From 800 to 1000 people per month" is the ambitious goal declared by Andrea Sartori for the new hospitality project in the company. Profiled and international wine tourists, eager to live a unique and authentic experience in one of the companies that have marked the history of the territory, witness of one of the most prestigious denominations of which our nation boasts. Long live Valpolicella and good luck to the Sartori family for this new adventure!
