When it come to an aperitif, Terre di San Rocco has thought of everything: red, rosé and white wines that are easy to drink and have intriguing aromas.

After 35 years of constant work, of which 20 dedicated to winegrowing, Terre di San Rocco has renewed itself and launched a new line of products that have a more youthful and less demanding character. These products are designed for the same clients as always but more so to those who open their doors to a new generation of young consumers who are as interested in the imagine of a wine as its quality.

It was back in 1999 when Renato Nichele decided to cultivate four hectares of vineyards at his farm in Roncade (province of Treviso) where he already raised livestock and produced fruits and vegetables. Working today with his daughter Daniele, he now has 25 hectares of vineyards and produces Terre di San Rocco wines, from reds with a Bordeaux blend to traditional method bubbly, which have become a guarantee of drinking well.

During the 53rd edition of Vinitaly in Verona, Daniele Nichele told me about their new 18:00-20:00 (6-8pm) project. Given my Veneto background, I knew immediately what it referred to because for us this meant cocktail or aperitif hour, which is best spent in an open square with old friends. I refer to the old-time hour, without all that food like in Milan, where the only intention is to enjoy a nice glass of wine and chat with friends.

Terre di Rocco also brought back the old rules with a flier that accompanies the wines. Here are some of them:

  • You don’t get drunk at an aperitif but talk animatedly.

  • You don’t eat at an aperitif, at most nibble on something.

  • The aperitif is an occasion to be shared, what would be an aperitif with friends?

Aside from being essential and eye-catching for the consumer, the labels of 18:00-20:00 wines also glow in the dark for when nigh falls!

Terre di San Rocco offers you the freedom of choice and the wine can be red, rosé or white. The blends are a secret, even if the wines are only made with varietals grown in estate-owed vineyards, and the contents of the bottles, with their unusual shapes that seem more from the world of mixology than winemaking, never disappoint because they are easy to drink and have intriguing aromas.

18:00-20:00 wines will soon be available to the public and offered in the “best squares” ready for a super pop, carefree toast among friends.
