VentinoveMaggio Nolurè for a birthday

A recent project carried forward with determination by Luigi and Lucia has led to the creation of the Nolurè wine estate and the Aglianico wine VentinoveMaggio, dedicated to the birth of their son.
Ventinove Maggio (May 29) is not just the name of a wine produced by the small Nolurè estate but it is also an important date, the birthday of Ferdinando, the son of Luigi Alfano and Lucia Alborea, the owners of a hectare of vineyards in the area of Prata Principato Ultra.
Luigi was given the land by his parents in 2006 after he earned his degree in medical biotechnology and it offered him an occasion to satisfy his passion for winegrowing, planting both Greco and Aglianico vines. Production of the two varietal wines is very limited – the wine itself made at the Manimurci winery in Paternopoli – but they are a reflection of the determination and attention behind this project.
For now making wine is not the couple’s main activity. He runs the Nolurè Lounge Bar in Avellino while she, a native of the Puglia region, is involved in her family’s farm in the province of Foggia, which above all produces wheat and olive oil. In the future… who knows.
