Le Mongolfiere from Rivolta

“It was October 6 and in the farmyard they were celebrating San Bruno Day when two colorful hot-air balloons (mongolfiere) from the annual gathering in Fragneto, unexpectedly landed on the side of the vineyards where they were picking the first Aglianico grapes. This wine is dedicated to that magical and festive day and those balloonists who look down at us from the wonderful balloons”. This is the story behind the creation of the Aglianico rosé from Fattoria La Rivolta. Since 1997, winery owners Paolo, Giovanna, Gabriella and Giancarlo Cotroneo have been working the hills of Taburno, in Torrecus, producing wine from their 29 hectares of organic vineyards. Wines like the Aglianico reserve Terra di Rivolta and the white Sogno di Rivolta, which in recent years have understandably enhanced the success of this estate.
