In the heart of Vernaccia di San Gimignano
Vernaccia di San Gimignano was probably invented here. Vernaccia is mentioned in the Divine Comedy and in the Decameron and Cusona is always cited. Historical evidence shows that Cusona existed as a military tower before the year 1000.
The Guicciardini Strozzi family acquired the estate in 1500 and in modern times commercial wine production began in 1970 with Prince Girolamo. The wines are very traditional as is the magnificent cellar under the villa. But in the past two years we have seen, with joy, the renovating influence of Natalia's pas de bourrée with her minor sister Irina.
