His at last

Ezio Rivella is one of the ‘founding fathers’ of modern Italian wine. Born in 1934, for decades he was president of the enologists association first for Italy and then the world. He created Enoconsult, an international wine consulting firm, and directed the creation of Castello di Banfi in Montalcino where he served as CEO until a few years ago. But he also has a winery in his home town in Astigiano which may be small but it is all his. It is called Bel Sit and produces some excellent Barbera d’Asti.
